Policy event "European migration and asylum scenarios for the future", Brussels, 23 May 2023
On 23 May 2023, the QuantMig team has held a policy event "European migration and asylum scenarios for the future", kindly hosted in Brussels by the UK Mission to the European Union. The event provided an opportunity to share key insights from the project with a policy and practitioner audience, and to discuss the challenges of migration planning and preparedness. The background material to the discussions has now been published by Population Europe as the White Paper on Migration Uncertainty.
We are very grateful to the meeting hosts and organisers for providing an excellent forum for thoughts exchange and to all participants for stimulating discussions, which we hope will change the discourse and practice around migration planning and preparedness in light with the recent scientific advances, including those made by QuantMig.
