Two new QuantMig articles published in May 2025
We are pleased to announce that the QuantMig team has published further two journal articles resulting from the project work, which appeared in print less than a week apart.
In "Spatial Dependence of European Immigration Flows", published in Population and Development Review, Mathias Czaika, Heidrun Bohnet and Akira Soto-Nishimura present their work from Work Package 5 on spatial and categorical dependence of migration flows into Europe, and the development on the migraiton trends and patterns since the Global Financial Crisis.
The paper "Conceptualizing and Measuring Conflict-Related Determinants of Migration" by Marta Bivand Erdal, Mathilde Bålsrud Mjelva and Andreas Forø Tollefsen, published in Journal of Immigrant and Refugee Studies, sets out the agenda for a better conceptualisation, measurement, and hence understanding of conflict-related determinants of migration, building on conceptual work from Work Package 2.
